im NOOB help plz

me and my friend are trying to make a custom race and then battle witht hem later. i use creeps as my units and changed their race to other, but i dont know how to turn one into a hero... i have my tavern and it has the guy in it... but you can buy as many as you want and he doesnt have agility/strength/inteligence... and i cant get him to lvl, or learn hero spells... someone please help...

To make a Hero you will need to base your unit off of an already made Hero, and change the model and icon to the ones you want.
