You should have a new file called "filename.rar"
or a zipped file, depends. Extract this file into another folder, there should be a bunch of imported stuff inside, go into the editor, and click "Import Manager" find your UNZIPPED/UNWINRARED folder and double click the file you want to import.

I've been downloading some things from the hive workshop. Now, I have some skins for some units that I like. When I give some units the model want, there head portrait when I click on them is there unit body but very small. How do I make a real portrait for them?

PS: Some unit models come with the model file and a portrait file.

Also, how do I get a building a darkened icon for when I cant yet build it, and for when I can.

Where you download the model from Hive Workshop, there should be a tutorial link right below the download link. Just follow it.

Your icon should come with both, they are called BTN and DISBTN
