Importing Models/skins

I want to import the model ,sentrygun ... im sure many of you heard of it or seen it b4...

The file had 2 objects only.... 1 is a the acutally model and the other is the readme...

the readme said nth that was important..BUT

going back the download site...
the commet by the author on the file showed this:
Skins:
Textures\Steamtank.blp
Units\Human\Rifleman\Rifleman.blp
Textures\Dust3x.blp
Textures\Flame4.blp

i dunno wad to do now... since everything i know of doesnt work...
Take it take ima noob mapmaker and i know NOTHING of models and skins and i know NOTHING of warcraft/warcraft editor

(besides all that talk up there , what is .blp files and .mdx files mean when i download them as models)

So i just want a noob-friendly help reply Thx

Not exactly sure, but I think that those are the in-game textures. Did you try importing the model and restarting world editor to see if it works? If not you'll have to get those skins and set them to the proper path.

no no no you must do these things

make a custom path for those files imported and also be sure that the custom path belons to file like texture\eatshit_01 or something like that

Import the Model only, not the readme, then restart the map editor. Those other paths that were on the site are just listing the used in-game textures, and for your purposes that is irrelevant. Also, while it is not necessary, I'd also change get rid of the war3mapImported in the paths as it makes it more organized.

That's not why you remove it... But in this case you have to.

BTW you can import the readme all you want, but it's unnecessary, but it won't affect the map either, just increase the map size by <1kb.
