installing a xp visualtheme onto vista?

ok so ive been working with this for a while and tried some things but no luck.
i wanted to put this theme on my laptop with windows vista, but the problem is that it's made for xp.
ive tried using deskhack, ive followed the instructions with everything exactly.
any suggestions.
