Jass NewGen Won't Open

Just yesterday I could run Newgen World Editor just fine, but after waking up this morning and trying to open it, nothing happens. Like, I'll go into the folder, then double click on the Newgen WorldEditor icon, and nothing will happen.

The normal world editor opens up and works just fine...I dunno why it won't work. I've checked my task manager and it SAYS its running, and exehack is running as well, but nothing shows up on my screen =/. Any thoughts, or help I could get on this matter would be great.

Delete the old file, download a new one and use the new one...If it doesn't work...
Go to your task manager and end process of explorer.exe, then restart it by new task.

Tried both things, both of them haven't fixed the problem

It might not be quitting properly. Ctrl-Alt-Delete and force quit worldedit.exe

No other version of world editor is open when I attempt to open Newgen, I've checked with task manager This is really bugging me

Restart your computer?

In worst condition, System Restore.

Happened for me too, turned out it was because my firewall had updated and decided that NewGen was dangerous shit, so try disable the firewall when you start it, see if that helps.

I don't have a firewall running, and I'd rather not System Restore :banghead: I'll keep looking for ways to fix

Wooo! Fixed it, I did what any reasonable person with half a brain would have done, I backed up my maps and reinstalled Wc3, Worked as soon as I patched Thanks for all the help, even though it didn't yield any results, glad there is people who could help
