Well, the rest of this project hasn't been easy, why would the last thing I need to do be any different?
I've created a Loading Screen for my map, based on the tutorial here:

I'm using the High Quality option, as I want to make sure my Tutorial text is readable.
I used Photoshop to create the loading screen, chopped it up into the 4 parts and saved them out as 16 bits/pixel .TGAs.
Import them into the map, set everything up, renamed them to LoadingScreenTL.tga, etc etc.
Here's what I get when I load the map in TFT.
Boom. Delicious.
So, yeah....uh....I don't know what I did wrong. Only thing is maybe the .tga has to be 24 or 32 bit/pixel, but that would balloon the filesize.
