Mana regeneration negative

How is this done? I tried putting it as a negative integer but it just goes to zero.

For example, if I put mana regeneration as "-.50" and press enter, it'll go to 0.

I tried changing the unit's regeneration, and trying getting brilliance aura and changing it. Both put it down to 0. I know there's a way of doing this, I've seen it before, there must be something I have to change?
