Hello, I have had a decent idea for a map and I got just about everything planned out except for the main feature. Mass Attack. My map is going to be based on large scale battles so it would be much easier to have a 'Mass Order' to control them.
However I have tried several ways to do this with no luck.
Try One: I started simple, made a unit cast a spell (based from flame strike) and whereever that spell was cast all the units within a certain area of the caster will attack-move to that location. Problem with this was, it only selected 12 units at a time.
Try Two: 12 Was not enough for me so I tried to do a 'Selection' spell that will select units (by putting a buff on them) and add them to a group and from there the 'Mass Order' will tell them what to do. This failed miserably as it lagged like crazy and nothing else.
So I was wondering if anyone can suggest a way for me to be able to 'Mass Order' a large amount of units in a certain area (wether it be around the caster or anywhere on the map) without being limited to 12. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
