I'm good with Maya 6.0 and have been modeling with it etc. And I wanted to know if there was any way to export to warcraft type files directly instead of having to get it to 3ds max and then warcraft.
Well, it'd be a very crude copy...since I don't think the animations carry over. You should get Milkshape and load maya models into it. Then, you can take the object and save it as a .gmax. THEN, you can upload it in gmax and use some plugins (can be found at wc3sear) to prep it for warcraft III. However, I do believe you MAY be able to use plugins to pull it right off of milkshape, but I don't think you can pull it directly off of Maya because the original warcraft models were made (and thus linked in this way) by 3dsmax (an older version you can't get without illegally pirating for it) which is an expensive extension of gmax. Milkshape just so happens to correspond with just about every single modeling software out there, so you'd be able to load from maya and make it a gmax file, for instance.
I just got to watch the video because even though I was there I was trying to work out tech problems with the chat since I was the social media guy so I was distracted but check it out guys the video is super fucking great!
Looks like Google fixed whatever mistake that made the recipes on the site go crazy and we are no longer trending towards a recipe site lol - I don't care though because it motivated me to spend alot of time on the site improving it and at least now the content people are looking at is not stupid and embarrassing like it was when I first got back into this like 5 years ago.
They also were digging threw old shit at the sheriff's office and I tried to get them to give me the old electronic stuff, but they said no. They can't give it to people because they might use it to impersonate a cop or break into their network or some shit? idk but it was a shame to see them take a whole bunch of radios and shit to get shredded and landfilled
Signatures can be edit in your account profile. As for the old stuffs, I'm thinking it's because Blizzard is now under Microsoft, and because of Microsoft Xbox going the way it is, it's dreadful.
