NT4 - Speed Up The Taskbar

To adjust the Taskbar popup speed, add a REG_SZ value named MenuShowDisplay to the registry in the following location:

HKEY_Current_User\Control Panel\Desktop

This value determines the number of milliseconds the shell will pause before displaying the Taskbar. By default, it's set to "400" which is a 0.4 second delay. Adjust this setting to your taste, then reboot to put the change into effect.


note: may also work on 2k but try it at your own risk !

A similar thing works with 98/2k for changing the delay speed for folder expansion in the start menu.
MenuShowdelay or something, I'll look it up later.
