problem with my spawn...

hey guys...

ive got a problem with my spawn like the title already says...
if you ever played angel arena or hell vs heaven or any map with the same "spawn system" you know how it works for every other i try to explain it....
there are several doors...behind them creeps are created and ordered to move to a region...the door opens for the unit and closes some seconds after they are through...
my problem there is that no matter what i changed they walk back to the door (they cant move further because the doors is closed) or fly over it back to the point they are created...i managed avoiding it by replacing the unit with the same unit-type when it reached the region it was ordered to move to...but some of my spells create a unit in these regions too sometimes and they are replaced too (even if i triggered that they shouldnt be replaced -.-)....also the units are replaced all the time so its impossible to select them...

so my question....how is it possible to manage that the spawned units stay at the point they are ordered to and if they are pulled away they move back to this point??

hmm, about the door closed, use replace unit to replace it with door open. Then use region or point on those location.

After it is done, run trigger create unit on the region or point, then trigger a unit enter region or order last created unit attack move to (your desired) point.

Just use trigger to destroy the gate.. or maybe you can do this..

Trigger:
  • Open Gate Front
    • Events
      • Unit - A unit enters Region 073 <gen>
    • Conditions
      • ((Entering unit) belongs to an ally of Player 11 (Dark Green)) Equal to True
    • Actions
      • Destructible - Open Elven Gate (Vertical) 3109 <gen>


Trigger:
  • Close Gate Front
    • Events
      • Unit - A unit leaves Region 073 <gen>
    • Conditions
      • ((Leaving unit) belongs to an ally of Player 11 (Dark Green)) Equal to True
    • Actions
      • Wait 5.00 seconds
      • Destructible - Close Elven Gate (Vertical) 3109 <gen>

thanks for helping but i think you didnt really get it^^ my fault :rolleyes:

X = unit spawned

I = wall

_ = wall , too

. =nothing (just to make spaces^^)

the problem is this :

the unit is spawned behind the door....

then the door opens and the unit walks outside...

and now the problem....the unit run back to the door (now closed again) instead of stay at the point they are ordered to move to. i managed avoiding this by replacing the unit when it entered a region in front of the door but this way round its replaced all the time (therefore unable to be selected) and every other non-hero unit is replaced too and this destroys some of my triggered spells....

so i ask for another technique to avoid this running back...

how can they run back to the door if you order they to attack move to the point the minute they enter the map?

they appear....then they move to the point....they reach it....they move back to the door(if they can fly they fly over the door)...they stay there -.-

oh, so if they reach there, they return................what you have in their destination? building? if so, they should be attack the building and thus your hero should protect the building at all cost

but if they reach the point, nothing for they to do, they, of course, will return to the spawn point. That is bizzard default setting, so you must have alternative action to continue

it depend on your map style, if your map style is defend building, as they attack move to there, the minutes they reach there, since your building is there, they will attack building.

if you play like mafa hero defend, since no building in there. The map maker just order there to patrol at another place, keep patrolling between this 2 point and set higher acquisition range, which if the unit see any enemy in the range, they will attack. But of course, this is not a wise move.

if you play like enfo, which order enemy to attack move to the point, the minute they enter the point, it reduce team life. In the case either team life drop to 0, that team lose. That is also another style.

So in conclusion, it depend on your map style.

its like angel arena^^ so they spawn behind a door move outside and stay there...ready to be killed^^ so they just have to stay when they reached the point^^

    I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work

    Luckily I have a 3d printer for that, I guess. But it's ridiculous. The regular volcanos are 21mm, these Sovol versions are about 23.5mm

    So, 2.5mm longer. But the thing that measures the bed is about 1.5mm above the nozzle, so if I swap it with a volcano then I'm 1mm behind it. So cool, new bracket to swap that, but THEN the fan shroud to direct air at the part is ALSO going to be .5mm to low, and so I need to redo that, but by doing that it is a little bit off where it should be blowing and it's throwing it at the heating block instead of the part, and fuck man

    I didn't realize they designed this entire thing to NOT be modded. I would have just got a fucking Bambu if I knew that, the whole point was I could fuck with this. And no one else makes shit for Sovol so I have to go through them, and they have... interesting pricing models. So I have a new extruder altogether that I'm taking apart and going to just design a whole new one to use my nozzles. Dumb design.

    Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart

    Partsbuilt has individual parts I found but they're expensive. I think I can get bits swapped around and make this work with generic shit though
