Question About Map: Parasite 2

Ok, this has stumped me for the longest time. In parasite 2, you have these items called suits. Each one can be equiped by a crew member by using the item. If you drop the item, your imidiately come out of your suit and go back to crew member form. Heres the thing though...no matter what, the buffs that were on you before you put on or take off a suit stay with you. Also, the map uses the same dummy spell to trigger each and every one of the suits and there are no abilities in the map based off of chaos or some other transformation ability (I have a deprotected copy that I looked at). How can they be possibly doing this? Don't say Replace - Unit because the replace function doesnt save buffs.

that's probobally the only way

I assume you would have to save the buffs in an array, and apply those buffs to the new unit.

The buffs may be applied by using some abilities like Inner Fire.​

The buffs can not specifically be added to a unit so that doesnt work...

I couldnt use inner fire because that would have different buff durations than what the earlier unit had (if I cast slow on the unit and that slow lasts 4 seconds and then they switch, inner fire would add the new buff for an incorrect amount of time)

Replacing a unit doesnt keep the old units buffs
