Shadow Strike fields help...

He everyone,

I'm working on an ability which should completely immobilise a target and deal damage over time.

I based it off of Shadow Strike, set the Movement modifier to max, that works fine, the unit cannot move.

However the damage over time is immensely high, it removes ~5000 points in 3 seconds. So does anybody know what the fields for Shadow Strike do in relation to damage, and how can I set them to deal a slow drain eg. 10hp a second?

Casting time is the interval of damage. It's set to 3.00 seconds for default, so that means it deals a tick of damage every 3 seconds. If you set it to 0, it instantly kills anything.

The other field of concern is decaying damage, which is how much damage it deals per tick.

I've never messed with decay power, but I assume that's how long the slowing effect lasts.

summoned is right
casting time - time between ticks (0 cast time = infinite decay damages on the target = instant kill)
decay power - duration of slow
decay damage - damage per tick
duration - how long it deals damage to target
initial damage, attack/movement speed factor - the name says everything
