Spawn random unit from group

I have 3 units that need to spawn at random when you enter a specific region. I need to make so when you enter this region one of 3 units will be created at random so there is an equal chance for each 3 to spawn.

I cannot do this by picking random unit from group. My map is to small and there is no where to put them.


This is my way and it is not working. The same units spawns each time.

The reason yours doesnt work is because the random integer changes each time (or never, if you have fixed random seed on) so it will have a 1 in 10 chance of spawning each of them, possibly spawning more than one, and possible spawning zero.

edit: Didn't look closely, missed the 'turn off this trigger' :D
But still if none of the random numbers are below 3 you will have no spawns

Heres a way that will work:

Make an array of unit types with a size of 3.

units[1] = first unit
units[2] = second unit
units[3] = third unit

Event- unit enters region
Condition- unit is hero
Actions- Create one units[Random integer between 1 and 3]

How do I do this part? I dont understand it.
And the turn off trigger is suposed to turn off because I dont want it to happen again once a unit is spawned.

In the variable editor (little yellow X)

Add a variable of type "Unit-Type" and tick off the little box called "Array" and set the size to 3.

Then in your trigger actions (the word "units" is just an example, replace it with whatever you name your variable)

set units[1] = your first unit
set units[2] = your second unit
set units[3] = your third unit
Unit - Create 1 units[Random Integer number between 1 and 10] for Neutral Hostile at (Center of Region 000 <gen>) facing Default building facing degrees

    Signatures can be edit in your account profile. As for the old stuffs, I'm thinking it's because Blizzard is now under Microsoft, and because of Microsoft Xbox going the way it is, it's dreadful.
