specify start location

i'd just like to know how to specify a start location instead of being placed randomly on the map. so how do i make the game place me at a specific location?

in the left hand pane select player [number] -> start location -> select start location -> place it anywhere you like on the map

lol, yeah i know how to place it, but if I eg have 2 "SL", one on the left side of the map and the other on the right side. how do i start at the left one, every time i begin a game?
