Stacking Damage Loss (Dilema)

I'm back again and full of questions....again. I'm working on a spell right now that reduces an attacker's damage by a percentage, and by and increasing percentage the more they attack. I have made the dummy abilities for it using cripple and the orb of slow, there are four levels to this ability, each level the percentage damage reduction goes up by a set amount. Now, first level for example goes up by 1% every level of the ability, to a cap of 50%. I can trigger everything for the very first attack on the unit, spawning a dummy unit and ordering it to attack, but here comes the problem. I have no clue how to make it count however many attacks are made (The buff duration of the damage reduction is 3 seconds) within the 3 seconds to increase the level every time the attacker attacks. (If any clarification to this jumble of words is needed please ask, I'd love to figure this out).

Add all your pre-placed units/ buildings and newly created units/ buildings to event "unit takes damage" then use comparison to check does damage done unit equal to your unit who has ability. If yes increase counter.

Just a note: Unit Takes Damage will register any kind of damage inflicted on a target, even damage from abilities and spells.

Find an ability which reduces by percent damage received.I think hardened skin is what you need but i am not sure.Give to this ability 50 lvls.

Actions
Set level of hardened skinn for attacked unit to ((level of hardened skinn) + 1)

Thats what i think.:D

I was actually looking for a way to make it reduce the attacker's damage and show the red "-##" for the attacker, but the way I seem to be going about it isn't working as smoothly as I thought and I never thought of Hardened Skin, I may just end up doing that. Thank you sir.

EDIT: On second thought it seems Hardened Skin only uses real numbers, not percentages :(

Heres what I suggest you to do:
You know the Orb of Corruption? The orb on the undead team, if you give it to lich in a melee game, and you got like level 2 coil, = GG? Yes, you know that orb? good! Well
I suggest you arg..how can I explain this...Yes, you create the ability, with 4 levels...and proper tooltips etc... With 0 armor reduction!!!! The armor reduction comes from a "dummy ability", then you can simply add/remove/increase the level of this dummyability. Like this:

Something simple as that.. and just check if the unit has buff (the attacked one) then to that.. if not, then dont do that;) Jesus!;) But this will not be percentage (%)... therefore, you might add..arg ill edit;)

Edit; do as I've said above, buuut, instead of adding this ability above (corruption whatever) to the hero that is attacking, you can always add "Devotion Aura" to the TARGET! make it % and NEGATIVE! -1 and check "percentage" to self and range 88 and ehm...hide it (spellbook whatever;)) (make it unit ability OFC! with 100 levels or so..)
And yes, thats mostly it, remember to change the buff color, with a color code type red! and yes...love you 2!=)
