If you ever want to display 'damage text' if someone does damage and you are sick of using Critical Strike and want some more manipulation possibilities, (like changing colour of the text), then here are the 2 easy triggers.
Firstly, you need to register the unit.
Code:register units Events Unit - A unit enters (Playable map area) Conditions Actions Trigger - Add to damage dealt <gen> the event (Unit - (Triggering unit) Takes damage)
And secondly create the floating text trigger.
Code:damage dealt Events Conditions Actions Set temppoint = (Position of (Attacking unit)) Floating Text - Create floating text that reads ((String((Integer((Damage taken))))) + !) at temppoint with Z offset 0.00, using font size 10.00, color (100.00%, 0.00%, 0.00%), and 0.00% transparency Floating Text - Change (Last created floating text): Disable permanence Floating Text - Set the velocity of (Last created floating text) to 64.00 towards 90.00 degrees Floating Text - Change the fading age of (Last created floating text) to 4.00 seconds Floating Text - Change the lifespan of (Last created floating text) to 5.00 seconds Custom script: call RemoveLocation(udg_temppoint)
Are you using WEU or what editor because I can't see a few of the actions you have placed down in my regular editor.
