i need help making some triggers

1) In the game im (still) making, players get income through cities. I need a timer that every 40 seconds will count how many cities/towns a player has and give income accordingly. 1 city =100 gold, 1 town =75 gold.

(p.s, ill post my triggers in a bit, maps are on a different comp)

2)Ok...ive been trying to make a score board based on how many cities you own...and my trigger skills fail so any help would be appreciated :D.

well for the income you could simply make a trigger with a Periodic event(every 40 seconds) and then set a local variable for each player, like TempCitiesPlayerX to the number of cities he has

for this use count units in unit group
unit group would be units in playable map matching conditions:

-And(all conditions are true):
-owner of matching unit equals to PlayerX
-unit type of matching unit equals City

and then add (100 * TempCitiesPlayerX) gold to PlayerX

repeat the same thing with the towns and for all players playing the game(you should make a player group including all players that are playing the game on map initialization)

I would help with a scoreboard as well, but I am a failure when it comes to leader/multiboards.

Every X amount of time you want to give gold

Conditions

Actions
set unit_group = Units in playable map area matching Unit type of matching unit equal to your unit type
Player - Add ((Integer((Real((Number of units in Unit_group))))) x how much amount you want to give per one unit type) to Player 1 (Red) Current gold
thats it however you have to do it 12 times, my trigger leaks though, clean it up yourself.

Another question

If i were to make a trigger saying

Player - Add (Number of units in (Units of type City)) to Player 1 (red) Current Gold

That would add 1 gold for every city owned by that player right?

How do i set the value of a City to say...oh..100
without replicating this trigger 100 times.
