Trying to make a disease cloud black

My unit has the model of a disease cloud
how can i make it black?
tinting the colors doesnt do anything.

Tint doesn't affect the particles. You're gonna have to find another model.

That will lag, thats kind of bad advice right there. Lol.

it will only lag if you do not destroy the special effect afterwards. lag is only caused by memory leaks, almost all of which can be removed using custom scripts.

Lag is not only caused by memory leaks.
By your logic, a spell with 2500 special effects that go off at once wouldn't lag !

you could use the smoke smudge doodad model... its black, cluster some together it would possibly look good enough
