Is it possible to create unit-type in which would be several units. For example grunts footmen knights. If yes then how? EDIT : How to create a group of unit-types that would be treated as one unit-type

What do you mean?

Grunts and footmen and knights are of the same unit type? That would be impossible. As you are saying it yourself, grunts (is one unit type), footmen (another unit type), and so on.

The answer is no. It cannot be done. Perhaps tell us what you want to do with them? There could be other ways of doing it.

A unit-type is an ID, an integer number. A footman, grunt, tauren, whatever are just models that are connected to a certain unittype-ID.

As far as I know you can't assign the same Id to different "units", but what would be the purpose? Why do you want to do so?

Well, I think I might know what you want.
You want a group of unit-types to be treated as one unit-type?
I think you'd have to make a group of the unit-types. Like:
Grunts, Footmen, Knights, Wolf Riders -> Warriors
Then to use it to check if triggering unit is the unit-type Warriors, then just check if unit-type of triggering unit is in the group Warriors? Am I right? I can probably make an example trigger. In JASS most likely though.
