VELOCITY RPG
I have been working on this map for a little while, and so far it is going well, I like to think of it as a Defiances RPG style map without being so... cold, My map has:
- Cinimatics
- Hero Customization
- Bonuses for some players
- In-depth chat system (emoting/whispering/shouting)
- Custom sounds
Cinimatics
Every boss's lair has a little cinematic for every player during the FIRST time it is entered. And some for individual players based upon their choice of character. When played one after-the-other creates a set of nice character specific and general storylines.Every character in the game will have a little back story to follow throughout the game, only after playing the game through a few times can you get the whole picture, as a part of the save code determines how far through your solo storyline you are.
Hero Customization
Heroes have one elemental slot (Spellbook), this holds three skills which can be customised with elemental item drops you find.Also when you get to level 40 you can choose to change your class to a more specific unit
E.G -
Fire Mage --->
Le'ros of Fire (AoE Based hero)
Ex'ki the Rage Inducer (Buff and support hero with targeted spells)
After this the elemental slot will gain 2 more spaces for new skills based on RARE elements (Soul - Light - Darkness - Heart).
Bonuses for some players
Clan CBeS members will have a few heroes that only they may use, these heroes are in no way stronger, but it is a way for me to make (and give) something to my clan.Other bonuses will be for the people who help me (READ BELOW).
These bonuses include Credits (In the credits sequence), A bonus item (not imba but a good start point) and/or a custom hero for that ONE specific player.
In-depth chat system (emoting/whispering/shouting)
The chatting in the game is similar to Defiances with some editions, normal chat can only be seen by players who are close enough to "hear" it.- Strings beggining with "-" will not show in either chat or chat log,
- Strings beginning with "*" will be yelled across 4 square regions,
- Strings beginning with ":" followed by "Player name" will be whispered,
- Strings beginning with "^" Will emote.
Custom sounds
Most new (custom modeled) units will have their own voice and during the cinimatics, bosses will have some speech, this is where I am asking for your help. Anyone who wants to add their voice to the game is more than welcome. Below i will write a list of units, how I would like them to sound, then a one-line bit of text for you to act out. If i like the voice I will then PM you a small (most is 13 lines) script for you to make.
You can use Freecorder if you dont have a program yourself

A woman, with a slow (moaning) tone, Imagine Moaning Myrtle from harry potter, before she goes all loopy.
Sample Line : People...People have defiled my waters...
Vel'D'n Necromancer
Male or female with a harsh smokers tone
Sample Line : My warriors, rise from the ashes of your disputes!
Ork "Vallun"
A ranch owner, cowboy type of voice, male only sorry girls
Sample Line : Yall better not be goin' ter that there place?
Ork "Tiber'us"
Builder from an orcish tribe, Imagine a deeply religous zealot who squints at the word "titmouse" only MALE again
Sample Line : You folk, ruining crops, killing our sheep, you cant even kill the L'ladndek
Duke Vvaldemeir
A blood thirsty vampire who seems slightly perverted in his manner can be male or female
Sample Line : Me and my babies, Ve shall take over ze world, not even you...

If anyone could post a few up that would be great for these purposes it doesn't matter what format the sounds files are in.
Anyone who I deem good enough
will get a PM with the full script.The first version will be posted up when i have collected all the sounds and once all the custom models are added in.
