Vuen's D&D trigger question

Okay, so i'm making a map like Vuen's D&D And i've actually made a few threads with questions for the maps. One of which was the script to right click and spawn units. I had done over 100 scripts, and then a guy showed me a script that could do all the units in 1 script. But now, my question is, is there a way to do one trigger for "Player 1 red types "Footman" as an exact match", etc. You know what i'm getting at. You say a unit name without actually selecting the unit in the spawn area, and it lets you spawn that unit. Do I have to do a seperate script for each unit (I don't think so), or is there a trigger that can do all of them in one?

lol its me again :p
player 1 types chat message ur unit
set Spawn_Unit (ur unit type var) = ur unit

I dont know an easy way to do this.. this one would work but it would basicly mean you need a new trigger for each unit
tho i supose i could find an easier way ill get back if i do

Yeah I was hoping I could find a way to do it without doing one script for each unit, like with variables or something. For my normal unit spawning I had done one for each unit, but then a guy showed me a script that allowed me to click any neutral unit and it would save whatever unit I clicked IF it was neutral, as the Unit_Type variable. So I didn't have to make one for each unit, just one script.

Since you are using Textstrings, it will not work for multiple Units since "Footman" is not equal to "Ghoul".

Ah, I know what you're getting at, but there may still be a way to do it with variables or a shortcut you don't know about like the other guy had shown me with my script?

i think hes rite.. im looking at the editor rite now.. and for player chat messages.. the closest thing i can find it convert unit type to string.. but that requires a specific unit type.. hmmm

Trigger:
  • Player Message
    • Events
      • Player - Player 1 (Red) types a chat message containing (String((Random level -1 creep unit-type))) as An exact match
    • Conditions
    • Actions
      • Set Unit_Type[(Player number of (Triggering player))] = (Unit-type((Entered chat string)))

if they are neutral hostile then that MITE work.. but i reallllllly dout it

im pretty sure it wont work becus its RANDOM creep unit type.. which means that the game will say i want the creep type of creep X and u want Y and the next time the games wats Y and u want Y THEN it will work.. but.. idk for sure

Nope, apparently doesn't work. I'll keep looking through the same type of trigger you did though..

i dont think theres a way to do it in GUI.. Vuens is all jass... so there might be someone who can give you the jass trigger for it....
the eaiset thing is to go through and just make 1 trigger for each unit.. (or ask for jass help lol)

Actions
Set Unit_Type=(Unit-type((Entered chat string)))

I tested my map and it works PERFECTLY! Any unit name I say and then right click where I want it, the real unit appears. Footman, knight, satyrhellcaller, etc. Can I get a high five for geniousness?

Yeah I know you fixed my other script prob, I remember you lol. Oh, and, Opa, let this be a lesson to you. You aren't the most pro person here. I just found the correct trigger and proves you wrong. Don't be a know it all and never say never.

Er, what? I purposely mess up the grammar of one word and you try to insult me with it, even though my other grammar is practically perfect? Dude, first you put down a trigger which I find a way to do, and now you're trying to insult me because I proved you wrong. I'd be shutting up if I were you.

    I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work

    Luckily I have a 3d printer for that, I guess. But it's ridiculous. The regular volcanos are 21mm, these Sovol versions are about 23.5mm

    So, 2.5mm longer. But the thing that measures the bed is about 1.5mm above the nozzle, so if I swap it with a volcano then I'm 1mm behind it. So cool, new bracket to swap that, but THEN the fan shroud to direct air at the part is ALSO going to be .5mm to low, and so I need to redo that, but by doing that it is a little bit off where it should be blowing and it's throwing it at the heating block instead of the part, and fuck man

    I didn't realize they designed this entire thing to NOT be modded. I would have just got a fucking Bambu if I knew that, the whole point was I could fuck with this. And no one else makes shit for Sovol so I have to go through them, and they have... interesting pricing models. So I have a new extruder altogether that I'm taking apart and going to just design a whole new one to use my nozzles. Dumb design.

    Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart

    Partsbuilt has individual parts I found but they're expensive. I think I can get bits swapped around and make this work with generic shit though
