Warcraft Tides of Darkness

By Levdragon

From the lush utopia of Quel'Thalas, to the demonic pits of Draenor, Warcraft Tides of Darkness offers a unique strategy map not just made for building units and attacking but a deeper and more political feel to the First and Second Wars.

The game is based around the events of the first and second wars, as well as the aftermath of the second war.

Before the First War:

The orcs lived in a quiet, shamanistic society, until power-hungry leaders, led and manipulated by Gul'dan, made a blood pact with Mannoroth, a general of the Burning Legion, turning the orcs into bloodthirsty barbarian conquerors. The warlock magics wielded by the orcs turned Draenor into a dusty wasteland. The orcs, under orders from Kil'jaeden, decimated the draenei, enslaved the ogres, and gained dark dominion over Draenor. Before the Horde could destroy themselves in their bloodlust, Medivh and Gul'dan opened the Dark Portal, allowing the Horde access to the world of Azeroth to start a new war and pave the way for the Burning Legion's second invasion of Kalimdor.

The 12 Playable nations are:

1. The Kingdom of Stromgarde
2. The Kingdom of Azeroth
3. The Kingdom of Kul'Tiras
4. The Mageocracy of Dalaran
5. The Union of Khaz'Modan
6. The Kingdom of Alterac
7. The Kingdom of Quel'Thalas
8. The Kingdom of Gilneas
9. The Kingdom of Lordaeron
10. The Trolls of Zul'Aman
11. The Shadow Council
12. The Horde

Game Features of Warcraft Tides of Darkness

Income can be gained from:
-Taxes
-Lumbermills
-Gold Mines
-Oil Platforms
*New* Trade option also adds income:
-The new trade option gives alliance nations an option of sending resources to other alliance nations via caravans and ships.
-Paying 200 resources, 500 resources or 1000 resources sends a caravan or boat to another alliance nations capital and gives them the amount of resources sent. (The send gold and wood tab is locked down, otherwise this option would be pointless)
New gold and wood tabs:
-The gold tab at the top of the screen has now been changed to resources and now covers, buying units, building towers, creating ships, sending supplies and rebuilding destroyed cities.
-It is also used and gained from certain events and national decisions.
Two unique sides
-Throughout the end of the first war, second war and the aftermath of the second war experience unique teams.
-Fight for the Horde, Alliance or stay neutral during the wars.
-When the wars end certain nations will be allowed to leave the alliance or horde and conquer their previous allies lands.
National decisions allow players to lead their nation down whichever path they choose, be it good or evil.
Your cannot function by pure military might. A new government system gives each player a government and will have to be careful with the options they chose, and how much they expand.
*New* Continous play mode:
-In continous play mode, once cities are destroyed they can be reclaimed and rebuilt at the cost of resources, keeping the game in a continous cycle.
*New* Deathmath mode:
-In deathmath mode, once cities are destroyed they will remain destroyed and cannot be reclaimed.

Determine the fate of your nation, can the Alliance prevail, or will the tides of darkenss engulf them? This is your war . . .

4.Trainner [I will do most of the terrain however, for those extra touches I wll need some help to beutify the map.]

You has a typo.

On topic:
What is the map size going to be? Because for 12 nations I'm thinking your going to need a lot of room.

There will be plenty of lesser heroes and leader heroes. Yes Kurdan will be added and when a higher level will be able to mount the gryphon. Alleria and Turalyn are still alive in WCII and only went MIA after the second war during the beyond the dark portal events.

How come you're so into recipes lately? Never saw this much interest in this topic in the old days of TH.net

Hmm, how do I change my signature?
  • tom_mai78101 tom_mai78101:
Signatures can be edit in your account profile. As for the old stuffs, I'm thinking it's because Blizzard is now under Microsoft, and because of Microsoft Xbox going the way it is, it's dreadful.
  • The Helper The Helper:
I am not big on the recipes I am just promoting them - I use the site as a practice place promoting stuff

@tom_mai78101 I must be blind. If I go on my profile I don't see any area to edit the signature; If I go to account details (settings) I don't see any signature area either.
  • The Helper The Helper:
You can get there if you click the bell icon (alerts) and choose preferences from the bottom, signature will be in the menu on the left there https://www.thehelper.net/account/preferences

Crazy how much 3d printing has come in the last few years. Sad that it's not as easily modifiable though
  • Varine Varine:
I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work
  • Varine Varine:
Luckily I have a 3d printer for that, I guess. But it's ridiculous. The regular volcanos are 21mm, these Sovol versions are about 23.5mm
  • Varine Varine:
So, 2.5mm longer. But the thing that measures the bed is about 1.5mm above the nozzle, so if I swap it with a volcano then I'm 1mm behind it. So cool, new bracket to swap that, but THEN the fan shroud to direct air at the part is ALSO going to be .5mm to low, and so I need to redo that, but by doing that it is a little bit off where it should be blowing and it's throwing it at the heating block instead of the part, and fuck man
  • Varine Varine:
I didn't realize they designed this entire thing to NOT be modded. I would have just got a fucking Bambu if I knew that, the whole point was I could fuck with this. And no one else makes shit for Sovol so I have to go through them, and they have... interesting pricing models. So I have a new extruder altogether that I'm taking apart and going to just design a whole new one to use my nozzles. Dumb design.
  • Varine Varine:
Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart
  • Varine Varine:
Partsbuilt has individual parts I found but they're expensive. I think I can get bits swapped around and make this work with generic shit though
  • Ghan Ghan:
Heard Houston got hit pretty bad by storms last night. Hope all is well with TH.
