Weird Happening with an Item Trigger

In my map I made a trigger that would create a random item somewhere on the map every 2 minutes but the item will only be there for 30 seconds then disappear unless it has been picked up. It seems to be working fine until it randomly picks a tome and then for some reason if the tome is not picked up in the time limit it stays, all other items have been disappearing like their supposed to. These are the Triggers if anyone can point out whats wrong It would be most helpful.

Trigger:
  • Trigger Turn On
    • Events
      • Time - Elapsed game time is 300.00 seconds
    • Conditions
    • Actions
      • Trigger - Turn on Spawn Items <gen>


(this is so that it will wait 5 minutes before it starts spawning items.)



Trigger:
  • Spawn Items
    • Events
      • Time - Every 120.00 seconds of game time
    • Conditions
    • Actions
      • Item - Create (Random level -1 item-type) at (Random point in (Playable map area))
      • Set PickedUpItem = (Last created item)
      • Wait 30.00 seconds
      • If (All Conditions are True) then do (Then Actions) else do (Else Actions)
        • If - Conditions
          • (Last created item) Equal to PickedUpItem
        • Then - Actions
          • Item - Remove (Last created item)
        • Else - Actions
          • Do nothing




Trigger:
  • Change Item
    • Events
      • Unit - A unit Acquires an item
    • Conditions
      • (Last created item) Equal to PickedUpItem
    • Actions
      • Set PickedUpItem = (Matching item)


This one changes the last created item to something else, anything but the last created item. changing it to Matching Item should in theory make it so that the 2nd trigger no longer thinks it the last created item and wont remove it from the game, this way people can pick up the item and not have it be removed a few seconds after they picked it up lol.

Like I said the main problem here is that this is working for everything but tomes, for some reason if its an item that consumable on the spot it will stay, thanks for your help! :D

Ok, since I posted this Ive been testing this out a lot and found that if any item is picked up while the randomly created item is on the map, the item wont disappear. I need the item to not disappear only if the random item is picked up. I know this is possible because if you have ever played Castle Fight with crazy coins on, several coins spawn and you have to grab as many as you can before they all disappear. In that map you can pick up the coins and any other coins will disappear if they are not picked up. Any help at all on this would be really appreciated, thanks

This is exactly what your second trigger does.

First, waits 30 seconds, then removes it. Did I misinterpret or?

The item should be removed if the item is not claimed in 30 seconds, so I believe the Remove PickedUpItem should be in the else statement:

Trigger:
  • If (All Conditions are True) then do (Then Actions) else do (Else Actions)
    • If - Conditions
      • (PickedUpItem is owned) Equal True
    • Then - Actions
      • Do Nothing
    • Else - Actions
      • Item - Remove PickedUpItem

I am to assume TmpPnt is a region variable right? if so where do you find to set to random point in playable map area, I found "Region - Move" but thats it. BTW this looks like it would definetly work, just gotta find a few things lol.

Edit: Actually never mind I think I found it:

Trigger:
  • Set ItemRegion = (Region centered at (Random point in (Playable map area)) with size (10.00, 10.00))

Edit 3: Ha Ha! got it to work only problem is if the item is removed from my inventory before the time limit is up it will still disappear, but I suppose that will have to do. Thanks so much for all of your help.

    Crazy how much 3d printing has come in the last few years. Sad that it's not as easily modifiable though

    I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work

    Luckily I have a 3d printer for that, I guess. But it's ridiculous. The regular volcanos are 21mm, these Sovol versions are about 23.5mm

    So, 2.5mm longer. But the thing that measures the bed is about 1.5mm above the nozzle, so if I swap it with a volcano then I'm 1mm behind it. So cool, new bracket to swap that, but THEN the fan shroud to direct air at the part is ALSO going to be .5mm to low, and so I need to redo that, but by doing that it is a little bit off where it should be blowing and it's throwing it at the heating block instead of the part, and fuck man

    I didn't realize they designed this entire thing to NOT be modded. I would have just got a fucking Bambu if I knew that, the whole point was I could fuck with this. And no one else makes shit for Sovol so I have to go through them, and they have... interesting pricing models. So I have a new extruder altogether that I'm taking apart and going to just design a whole new one to use my nozzles. Dumb design.

    Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart

    Partsbuilt has individual parts I found but they're expensive. I think I can get bits swapped around and make this work with generic shit though
