Why doesn't my paladin cast Holy Light

Here is my Trigger:

  • Events
    • Unit - Paladin 0008 <gen> Is attacked
  • Conditions
  • Actions
    • Trigger - Turn off Paladin <gen>
    • Unit - Order Paladin 0008 <gen> to Human Paladin - Holy Light PaladinTarget
    • Wait 2.00 seconds
    • Trigger - Turn on Paladin <gen>

Now as the name indicates, I'm wondering why my Paladin won't cast Holy Light. I have no custom data for this map, I am using the default Paladin with the default spells non-edited. I have created a similar trigger for a Default Death Knight telling it to cast Death Coil and that works. +rep for all who help

Well, are you sure that PaladinTarget is even set ? Or if it's a valid target ?

Everytime the Paladin attacks, I set Paladin Target to the attacked unit. It works fine for my deathknight casting deathcoil with the same system.

have you made sure that the paladin has learned the spell? do that by double clicking on him --> abilites and set the rank of holy light

Try setting the target as attacking unit not attacked,attacked one is the paladin and he cant cast on himself

It's not harder than that, and if you don't want the paladin to spam holy light, just set cooldown on the spell

Yes, Paladin has holy light. Works when I change to attacking unit. Thanks and +rep
