Wait, it said it must be applicable in a TD. That basically destroys all use of any other units/towers/self-cast abilities. Lame. OH well, I'll take the risk of failing that section and make the most.. messed up... er... a tower. That may not work well in a TD :p

I would say no. If, however, the towers had to somehow interact to achieve an effect, then you could do that.... :rolleyes:

Here is a demo map i made for the contest for ANYONE to use, just edit the peasent (human) to be able to build it, and paste your tower into the custom buildings tab!

no prob (please note this is was my attempt at a demo map, im not sure if the pathing was right)

(i was right, the grunts "attack" wasn't modified, and their collision size is too big, let me edit it please)

here's the fixed version

Please remove the one on the front, and replace it with this one

A couple of questions:
Is there any time limit, or a "never-ending-contest"?
Do we need a builder to build it or can we just preplace it?
Just so you can post some more posts ^^
Is it the right size? Would it fit in with other towers nicely?

Thats a bit...retarded? I mean, TD's should not be the same, so, if you took all these towers that will show up in this Contest put them all together, I'll bet they together would make one hell-of-a-TD. But, if you add it with "Archer TD", of course it does not fit in...You could have an archer as model though but...really dont understand..whatever, but ofc you gotta give some kind of score for something so ^^

Does your tower have the right amount of power? Is it not just an "ownage device"? Is it actually viable in a TD map?

Same here, bit odd, but I get your point, not a tower with 2.000.000k dmg and 2k radius splash. But that might fit in, in "my td" so... balance n balance...

Anyways, count me in! :)

A builder would be fine. It's not mandatory. However, the more you do with the map in which you create the tower, the faster I can grade.

Great idea is me be having. Great grammar eh? Anyways.

Apparently it doesn't wanna load one of my models. Pleasant. OH well :p I'll find a way around. In fact, I may completely remove use of my imported models and just combine existing models yadda yadda yadda etc etc so on and so forth. I hope no one uses my idea except me :(

On my demo map i added 5000 gold to the player red, and the builder can't build anything, so paste in your tower to the custom units, then allow the builder to build it (stats-buildings)

Skrew it, i can't ignore the fun any longer:banghead: , IM IN:D

    Crazy how much 3d printing has come in the last few years. Sad that it's not as easily modifiable though

    I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work

    Luckily I have a 3d printer for that, I guess. But it's ridiculous. The regular volcanos are 21mm, these Sovol versions are about 23.5mm

    So, 2.5mm longer. But the thing that measures the bed is about 1.5mm above the nozzle, so if I swap it with a volcano then I'm 1mm behind it. So cool, new bracket to swap that, but THEN the fan shroud to direct air at the part is ALSO going to be .5mm to low, and so I need to redo that, but by doing that it is a little bit off where it should be blowing and it's throwing it at the heating block instead of the part, and fuck man

    I didn't realize they designed this entire thing to NOT be modded. I would have just got a fucking Bambu if I knew that, the whole point was I could fuck with this. And no one else makes shit for Sovol so I have to go through them, and they have... interesting pricing models. So I have a new extruder altogether that I'm taking apart and going to just design a whole new one to use my nozzles. Dumb design.

    Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart

    Partsbuilt has individual parts I found but they're expensive. I think I can get bits swapped around and make this work with generic shit though
