Spell Renzoku (DBZ like)

Loosely based on DBZ's "Renzoku Energy Dan".

Anyone who's seen the series has seen this one too.
The character continuously (hence the name) hits the air in front of him,
which releases small energy balls that fly to some target.
The longer it goes on, the bigger the damage, and the area that is damaged.

Uses "Channel" and "Cluster Rockets".
Requires NewGen.

Fully multi-unit, multi-player, multi-everything.

Special Features:
Furbolg Hero! :p

As an added bonus, comes with a Creep Revival per Region "system".

Can you make the move that Piccolo does to 17 where he shoots a lot of energy balls at random places and then they all move towards 17?

i think the name is Rezonko and not Renzonko though im not an expert in dbz but as far as i remember it was Rezonko well any nice spell ace :p

The anime calls it "Scatter Shot".

The original would be Kakusanyūdōkōdan... give or take a letter or two :p
(Expanding dispersion of homing light projectiles??? Rather descriptive as name...)
 
I wonder how difficult it will be to keep track of several effects and move them in different ways to the unit and causing several explosions. That was only move that was very cool in DBZ other than the 1 handed Kamehameha Wave done by SSJ2 Gohan

I might give it try to make that spell, I'll just fail... :eek:

Without MUI, easy. WITH MUI, thats a whole other story.

I could do it by Wednesday if i had time, plus with Thanksgiving coming up, ill have free time, so i could do it if you wanted, so Ace can do more with his time :p

Just give me a model for your balls of light or whatever they are.
 
if you do it in JASS mui won't be the problem but as he said it would be quite hard to control all the effects at once even if you use dummies as the effect
 
I can make it but it will take some time and I might need some help later, I never used Z in special effects (Top/Bottom) or manage to control several of them at once.

btw what do you think of the icon?

It's like the show the orbs change the color of the sky to a yellowish color

Wrong wrong wrong! I dont do JASS :p

And it would be easy to control the dummies, just make them, order to move to random point around target, add it to unit group, then later just pick 1 random unit from that group to move towards the target with 522 movespeed (Or slide) every .35 seconds, and when they reach the target, just create a different special effect for the explosion and deal damage.

I don't know about 1 specific spell but a DBZ inspired spell/theme contest will be better.

but, you really did not need two timers, at all
and yea, no imp. instructions, its not exactly intuitive for those not fluent with JASS or NewGen

I don't know about 1 specific spell but a DBZ inspired spell/theme contest will be better.

that is deff an idea, though there is only so many cool moves in DBZ worthy of a spell, I can count them on 1 hand

Not that many.

Actually, there's plenty.
However, most are "just" some kind of energy ball(s) flying to some target unit or area.

Some though are more interesting.

I tried without any.
Unfortunately, the animation of the Hero and the actual shooting need to be coordinated as perfectly as possible.
But, with triggersleepactions... well, sometimes they have trouble waking up on time.
And the entire thing sort of breaks.
With both running on timers, there are no issues.

That said, if you have something "better", I'm all ears.
 
better, as in another suggestion for the spell?

I was not suggestioning adding the setunitanimationbyindex into the loop, add it into the callback function for the first timer, thsu eliminating the second, they both run at .8 no?

    It is OK though for the main page to open up on the forum in the view it was before. As long as the portal has its own URL so it can be viewed that way I do want to try it as a regular forum view for a while
