What I meant by multi task is that you can simply stop paying attention to your phone, and do something, then you can switch tasks back to your phone, without the receiving person even knowing how long it took you to say it.

Which makes it ineffective because it can take a long time to get a response.

Texting is very quick and easy, and it's good for leaving small messages and stuff.
But.. I prefer calling people.

I am constantly texting on my phone, whether I'm at work or at home. Depending on who I'm with, the levels of which I'm texting may or may not go down [or up] but I am almost always involved in a text-conversation with someone.

I get random pictures sent to me in the middle of the night by random people, it's lulz.
