How to remove water buff from water elemental?

Yeah, i'm making a red water elemental but i don't know how (if it's actually possible) to remove the water buff once it's created?

or you could have edited the particle emitter to emit red instead of blue

If you search for elemental on the hive, the first page has three models on the first page that look like water elementals, except firey\lavay.
