How much does eye candy count for?
Does Jass get bonus points?
What about memory leaks?
Does trigger efficancy matter?
Can we do an aura type thing or a something like omnislash?
Will all the maps be released after judging?

most of your questions are answered in the first post, but for the ones not answered already:
jass does not get bonus points
anyone that decides to join this is welcome to release their maps after the deadline, whenever that will be, but the best of each ability will definately be released either in the free trigger code thread or somewhere else

I'll host an ability contest, award for winner: bragging rights and more respect.

Rules
1. Submitting a ability you did not make, this means downloading an ability,taking a ability from another map ect. You will be kicked out from the contest.
2. Getting someone to make the ability for you will also get you kicked out of the contest.
3. Stealing/taking parts of abilities from, downloaded abilities,other peoples maps ect, and using them in your map will also result in you kicked out of the contest.

Judging
You will be judged on multiple areas, you will have a rating for each area, and an overall.

Appearance - How the ability looks when casted, this will be taken into great consideraton, exspecially if you are adding to much to the appearance.

Trigger - Making your ability in jass will not give you bonus points, but can lead to a better score as if can lead to cleaner code, ect.
You will be judged upon how many triggers it took to make the spell, this is only taken into consideration if you didn't need all the triggers you used.
It will also be judged as if there are memory leaks or not, variables being used for no reason, useless code included in your trigger(s) ect.

Description - Ah yes, the description of an ability, and balance. You must include a description of your ability, what it does and the effects of it.
Balance will not be taken to seriously as a big area to judge on, this is just to make sure members don't get carried away, and make some ability that does 999 damage a second to the target unit.

Judges will only be for this contest, so if you sign up for this project as a judge, you must re-apply for the next contest if you would also like to become a judge.

Thats about all the rules to be a judge.

The deadline is not known yet, so take your time for now making the abilities.

every one must try to do a spesific spell so comparsion between users will be better and there will be loads of useful spells fo map makers here

This contest will be for a single ability.

So we can have a better quality of submited abilities, since people will put all their work into one ability, not four.
