hmm, maybe its time to start banging your head off a wall. if you re-installed XP and Vista a few times, the registry shouldn't be the source of the problem should it? Guess there's no harm in checking, unless of course something else gets broken . Maybe, it's a sign that you shouldn't be using WE
oh, i thought you said you re-installed vista as well. do you have another computer or something that you can try installing on? maybe WE just doesnt like yours for some odd reason
Lol I reinstalled XP once... never Vista, (vista's where all my shit is, don't wanna fuck it up), and still no dice with it workin on XP. And trust me I have been banging my head against a wall!
Just tried installing it on my sis' comp and running WE, it worked fine. So that tells me, that somehow XP or something is fucked... gonna reinstall XP again...
So.. I did the following...
Rebooted with XP CD in Drive.
Reformatted Old XP Partition.
Installed XP on the freshly formatted partition.
Booted into XP.
Installed Graphics Driver.
Installed DirectX 9.0c.
Installed WC3:RoC.
Ran WE.
Made a new map.
Saved map.
Close all program while using world editor, then always close warcraft while using the editor. Look at the standard toolbar below your title bar, choose window, then uncheck brush list by clicking on it. If you have a firewall, include world editor on its white list. Then also check your protection programs, they might be interfering with world editor to touch or create new files. After that, try saving your map in your "warcraft directory/maps/test". If your problem continues, then it means faith.
Ghan has said he has fixed this. Monovertex please confirm this fix. This was only a problem with people that had signatures in the upper levels like not the special members but the respected members.
