Aura help

Can anybody suggest ideas for an aura spell? I've been coming up with empty for over a week now. The aura is meant for a boss that specializes in dark magic so it can be a little overpowered. Actually I'd prefer it if it was just so long as it's not "the units within x range die." kind of overpowered.

Name: Will of Darkness
Targets: Self, Allies, Enemies​
Effect: Grants physical embodiment to the malevolent energies inside nearby units. Every instance of damage dealt within the area has a chance to summon a Shade at the position of damage source. Shades regenerate 2 MP/sec to a maximum of 200 and can cast Dark Embrace.​
AoE: 800​
Subskill: Dark Embrace​
Targets: Enemies​
Effect: Deals 2 damage for every 5 points of mana the caster has. Restores 50 mana for every 100 damage dealt in a 200 AoE.​

I know this is pretty simple and standard, but it could work out:

Name: Wicked Transfusion
Description: Being in the presence of [your boss] literally drains the lifeblood from friend and foe alike, separating life from spirit and rendering that life unto [your boss].
Targets: Allies, Enemies
Effect: Drains life from all other units in [z] AoE, at a rate of [x]% health per second. [x] health is then added to [your boss]'s current health, while [y]% mana is added to all units affected (except [your boss]).
[x] = an appropriate amount of health (i.e., 0.5-2)
[y] = an appropriate amount of mana (i.e., 0.5-2; should be the same as [x])
[z] = an appropriate range (large enough that healers should be affected by it if they're within striking range of [your boss].

Another one:

Name: Indomitable Will
Description: The gaze of [your boss] is all-consuming; those poor souls too rash to avoid his piercing stare become imprisoned within the confines of their own minds. They lash out at friends as if they were enemies, striking beyond their normal limitations and relenting only as they approach the eves of death.
Targets: Enemies
Effect: Has an [x]% chance to charm an opponent within [z] AoE of [your boss]. (Not sure how you'd proc this - if you could just make an aura and trigger that could do the check each second, or if you'd have to tie it to some sort of attack against [your boss]) Charmed unit receives a 50% bonus to attack and receives 50% more damage taken. Upon reaching [y]% of unit's max life, charm buff is removed from the unit and control is returned to its owner.
[x] = an appropriate chance to hit (i.e., 1-5)
[y] = an appropriate amount of life (i.e., 10-33)
[z] = an appropriate amount of range (say, 500 or so)
