Linksys Router Model: WRT160N V2
Linksys "VoIP Hub"? Model: SPA2100

Friend is having some issues playing starcraft. He will drop from games at random. For him he just reappears in the channel, but for other people in the game they get the 30 second drop dialog. Aside from that his connection works very well, no problems playing WoW or any other issues.

Currently, he has his cable modem plugged into his VoIP Hub, then his router Plugged into the output on the VoIP, and of course his computer plugged into the Router.

He tried rewiring it so that his computer plugged directly into his cable modem, then using 2 bridged network cards he had his VoIP hub plugged into his computer, and eliminated his router.

It completely fixed his dropping problem, but anytime he tried to download something his downloads would always freeze, and his aim connection would faulter (he would sign on and logoff aim constantly / frequently / automatically)

Does he need a seperate cable modem for his VoIP? or is his VoIP hub defective ?

Any ideas?
I suggested he connect his router to his cable modem and feed his computer and VoIP modem off of that, but supposedly his VoIP doesnt work if he does that.
