That ability has a research requirement by default. And does not target friendly or ground units by default either.
 
well i tested it with a dummy(model on)...
the ability is there and its usable(edited the techtree requirements)...
the target allowed is edited too(friend)...
question:
why is it that the dummy wont shoot the web ability???

Because he doesn't have mana?

still no since web ability doesn't need mana...

Upload a map with the ability and trigger if you have time... Or wait for someone else to answer it.
EDIT: This last sentence was made out of fail.
 
Targets allowed: Friend, Air, Ground, Invulnerable, Vulnerable.
Techtree: None
Mana: 0

The above are the common mistakes in Object Editor that you did not do.

Else, I can only see it's the trigger problem.

The triggering unit does not have Siege Mode buff. What is the Siege Kit based off? Roar which gives Siege Mode buff?

Hmmm... Re-read the post again, and found out it couldn't be the buff problem since dummy is created.
 
... I don't know if this is the reason, but perhaps you should try basing it off "ensnare", I mean, Web is an air-binding spell normally?

And there is no expiration timer in the posted code btw.

Try using Ensnare instead, as I suggested? Atleast test it to see if the error is on the ability and not in your handwork?
 
Can you manually cast Web on your target? Or is the dummy auto-casting it your *only* issue?
 
You said the dummy has a model, so you can click on it and choose what it does, right? Than see if you can click on the dummy, asnd try to cast Web on your hero yourself, if you can, it's a trigger problem; likewise, if you cannot--it's an ability problem.

    It is OK though for the main page to open up on the forum in the view it was before. As long as the portal has its own URL so it can be viewed that way I do want to try it as a regular forum view for a while
