Ok. Is it airplane trip, ride, or flight I don't think it matters but .....

Flight seems to be the preferred word. Customarily, when a visitor arrives by plane the people who go to meet him ask "How was your flight?", not "How was your ride." Trip, maybe, it's just not very common.

well how about when you are saying
"How long is our plane (trip,flight, ride)"

Generally that would be phrased, "How long is our flight?"
It doesn't really matter as long as you get the message across, why do you need to know?

I've heard "plane ride" or "plane trip" too and it sounds fine in most contexts... but you don't say "plane flight" because it's redundant.

I agree with DogOfHavoc. The most common term is flight, but there are also various ways of saying something. I don't think you should be concerned if you say flight or trip. Ride is a bit vague, I think.

Depends on the context... and you usually omit plane and say "flight" just because it is contextually understood that you refer to a plane flight. I doubt anyone willl imagine that you came by hellicopter anyway. :nuts: .....
