"If we evolved from apes, then why are apes still around"...
By far the dumbest argument I've ever heard. There are records that show that several birds of the same species when introduced to various environments would adapt and change to survive in their current conditions. Now, let's say that out of these birds one was far superior, his environment was so grueling and taxing on his species that he had to acquire thicker skin, faster flight, and more intelligence. A few years later a scientists gathers all these birds up, would the others simply disappear because the stronger one is far superior? Not everyone will participate in the evolutionary track, it's a very selective process that doesn't happen overnight. Those left behind might die off, or perhaps they will follow a different path.
I am working on getting access to the old news portal under a different URL for those that would rather use that for news before we get a different news view.
It is OK though for the main page to open up on the forum in the view it was before. As long as the portal has its own URL so it can be viewed that way I do want to try it as a regular forum view for a while
I switched it to a "Standard" article forum. This will show the thread list like normal, but the threads themselves will have the first post set up above the rest of the "comments"
