am i the only one whos tired of getting disturbing images of dead bodies and drunk guys showing their bullocks and images of varios types of grose sex decises?

in general i think it's really disturbing that minors can get acces of images of death bodies in few seconds!

i have myself seen over 20 bodies in those small frames the past 3 years.

What the hell are you searching? :p

I've never had something like that in my search results.

It already has a filter. Go to Preferences and set Safe Search.

usually stuff for school projects..

when i searched "Sydney weapon shield" i got a picture of a

Family filter :p
body with his brain blown out

wanna see it!?! lol

cool, but there should atleast be limits of what can appear

First, it already has a filter, as TH stated and second, in years of googling, I didn't find a single offensive picture (sexual/gory etc) unless I searched for such images on purpose.

it's not on a regular basic, but after years i managed to.

i guys it's just a bad idea to search "weapon"

I confirm Smith's search results. I did see a cool Gundam model though.

EDIT: Wait, I had the first level filter on. See, the thing works. There is an even stricter one as well. You won't be able to catch a free glimpse of porn or dead bodies if you use the filters.

well thats wierd..

after years it's still there...

I've never found an offensive image on Google. Other search engines I've ran into include very offensive content. Nothing compared to Google's occasional girl in a bikini while using the image search when you look up an anime series or other character names (usually female).
But Google is as save as Internet save can be. The corpses can be rather educational, but if you're going to Google something violent or sexual, you're going to find something violent and sexual from mild to extreme. Just keep that in mind, Google is part of the Internet too.

>Maybe you should use google.com instead of google.dk
I didn't noticed that.

yea, his was in another language. It was google.dk that he was using.

The picture does indeed appear if you turn off SafeSearch. Turn it back on and you're fine.

guys dont press the link it will lead to a photo strip with disturbing pictures.

Your right, with safe search off you get that picture on the first page, but if safesearch is just on moderate you get nothing offensive at all.

News portal has been retired. Main page of site goes to Headline News forum now
  • The Helper The Helper:
I am working on getting access to the old news portal under a different URL for those that would rather use that for news before we get a different news view.
  • Ghan Ghan:
    Easily done

https://www.thehelper.net/pages/news/ is a link to the old news portal - i will integrate it into the interface somewhere when i figure it out
  • Ghan Ghan:
    Need to try something
  • Ghan Ghan:
    Hopefully this won't cause problems.
  • Ghan Ghan:
    Hmm
  • Ghan Ghan:
I have converted the Headline News forum to an Article type forum. It will now show the top 20 threads with more detail of each thread.
  • Ghan Ghan:
    See how we like that.
  • The Helper The Helper:
I do not see a way to go past the 1st page of posts on the forum though
  • The Helper The Helper:
It is OK though for the main page to open up on the forum in the view it was before. As long as the portal has its own URL so it can be viewed that way I do want to try it as a regular forum view for a while
  • Ghan Ghan:
Yeah I'm not sure what the deal is with the pagination.
  • Ghan Ghan:
It SHOULD be there so I think it might just be an artifact of having an older style.
  • Ghan Ghan:
I switched it to a "Standard" article forum. This will show the thread list like normal, but the threads themselves will have the first post set up above the rest of the "comments"
  • The Helper The Helper:
I don't really get that article forum but I think it is because I have never really seen it used on a multi post thread
  • Ghan Ghan:
RpNation makes more use of it right now as an example: https://www.rpnation.com/news/
