About the icons:
The icons should be 64 X 64 Pixels. The format needs to be in either Targa (TGA) or blizzards own picture format (BLP). The advantage of having them in BLP is that you can compress them to take less space, but since no image programs support BLP pictures you will need to save them first as a TGA picture and then open it up in Wc3 Image Extractor II and then export them as a blp. IT is also important to say that if you are going to import it as a TGA your icon must not have an alpha layer while as a blp it must have one.

Importing:
You import your icons in the import manager (F12) in the world editor (frozen throne required). you need two versions of each icon a btn version and a disbtn version. the btn version should look as you inteded it to look and the DISBTN version should be based of the btn version but without a frame and 50% darker. the name of your BTN and DISBTN icon must be identical, but the name of your BTN icon must have BTN as a prefix in the beginning of it's name and the DISBTN must have DISBTN as a prefix in the beginning of it's name.

Example:
the name of your icon is fire then the name of your icons will be:
BTNfire
DISBTNfire

when you have imported your icons you need to change it's paths. here is the paths of the BTN and DISBTN icons.

Path of the BTN:
ReplaceableTextures\CommandButtons\BTNIconName.tga
Path of the DISBTN:
ReplaceableTextures\CommandButtonsDisabled\DISBTNIconName.tga

in this example the icon name is without the prefix

if you have problems understanding any of this i will of course replay with a more detailed answer of the parts you don't understand since this post became rather messy and probably hard to understand.

2.How do i make it 64 x 64 pixels ?
just scale it down so that all sides are 64 pixels

3.How do i make a DISBTN icon ?
open up your btn icon in gimp then you make the frame black and the picture darker and save it as DISBTNYourIconName
