Is there a way to de-protect your map?

It stinks i thought if you protected your own map that you could also de-protect it if you can plz tell me thanks even if you dont.

What program did you use? If you used SCM Toolkit you should still be able to open is with SCM Toolkit, there is also a password option. I dont know but i bet GUE edit is the same. Theoretically you could hex edit the map and remove the lines that cause Staredit to crash but I have never been able to work this.

GUEdit does not allow you to de-protect maps.

You cannot hex edit the map to remove the protection.

Staredit does not crash if a map is protected... not from what I experienced, it only says an error message saying it is not a valid file to open.
