Aloha Helpers, I'm looking for some input on whether I should buy Minecraft. I've heard and read some about it, and with me being an avid lego fan growing up, this game looks really intriguing.
Here's what I know:
- You build.
- At night, you survive.
- You can discover countless different recipes and crafting and all sorts of stuff.
- ???
The game seems really retro, but how are the system requirements? I can run Wow on my laptop with medium settings with 30-50 fps, how would that compare to Minecraft?
The lack of any information in the game itself seems annoying (like not giving any info about crafting), especially to someone like me who would be brand-new to the game. Do you like this or is it a flaw?
I've read about some people can host their own servers with their own code and such? I'm not a tech or web guru, but that sounds interesting, even if just for myself in single-player. Is the game moddable?
I love the entire "openness" idea of the game, and I think that's what draws me to it more than anything else.
Should I buy it or not? Please share your thoughts.
