Periodic Weather Effects on Region

Greetings, TheHelper Forums.
I'm kinda new to the editing scene and I've just recently begun working on a map.

The thing is: I'd like that a given region on my map suffered rain every now and then. It's a small part of the map that I'd like to have Ashenvale Heavy Rain sometimes during the gameplay. I'm pretty sure it can be done, the thing is: I can start the rain, but I can't stop it. I'd like the rain to start and then stop some time later, like in a loop.

Thanks in advance.

Create the weather effect -> set it to a variable then
Trigger:
  • Environment - Turn (Last created weather effect) Off
    • Environment - Turn (Last created weather effect) On

I've tried the following, and failed:

and this

(Used these time marks only for testing purposes)

The rain is not even starting on the given region. :/
Any clues?

Here's a test map to give you an example.

Create Weather
Set it to variable
Then turn variable On/Off

Hope It Helps

Happy Mapping :D?

Added question!

That was fairly simple. Now make a trigger which randomly creates an Anshenvale Heavy Rain effect in the entire map with a minimum of 10 minutes and a maximum of 15 minutes interval. The effect must last for 5 to 10 minutes.

Well,

Randomly creates Rain in entire map? - huh? you can only create effects in region so if you want to have rain in random places then you have to have a bunch of regions and set them to a variable and randomly choose one or, easier than that you can just move the region around the entire map (as if the rain cloud was moving).

The timing is just setting different values for the periodic event or using timers that have their duration set the random values.

Does that help you? or do you need an example?

"Randomly" was meant as a random interval. But the timers with random values seems to be simple enough.
