nothing just the simple world edit. Well ok i got world edit unlimited but i am not using the advanced triggers (i dont trust them ^^) i am only using it to have it in english xD otherwise i wouldn't be able to copy my triggers as text and show them here.

are you sure? I get this error when i try to open it in WE and then WE close down:

Trigger Function does not exist in database: DecUnitAbilityLevelSwapped.

W8 I'm not on my normal computer maybe i need to update it from B.net.

i think the action 'decrease level of ability for unit' does definitly exist in the normal world edit. try testing the game in warcraft and i can post the triggers for you as text.

I Dont really mind a trio. But accname about your system I like it its a good system but i tried putting it in a Spellbook and it malfunctioned the unit doesnt have the ability anymore. any idea why it isnt working?
another way is to just have one more unit that is a spellbook for elements instead. Works the same way as a spellbook but a little more ineffective if there is no way to fix the malfunctioning.

Ok, i had some brain storming about the map today and as CO-Mapper i dont want to keep it back from you.

First of all, i got an idea for a name. i hope you like it.

Realm of Forbidden Magic

sounds kinda epic doesnt it?
well as for the gameplay i got some ideas which could improve the fun:
1)Custom attributes. (not str/Agi/Int its Summoning / Witchcraft and Necromancy
[All players can select their main magic type and add points to one of the types with each level which increases the effectivity of that type. I like the idea ^^]
2)Regeneration while fighting disabled.
[I think we should do a custom regeneration system, while fighting you won't regenerate mana nor lifepoints. when you are outside of a battle you regenerate 1% of your max hitpoints and mana per second. Got the triggers already]
3)Normal attack does not deal damage but steal mana from your opponent
[Because you wont heal mana while battle which is very bad for a mage you can steal enemys mana by attacking him with normal attack.]

These are just some ideas i had, DiFm has the last word at this of course.

As for the terrain, i thought of something looking kinda magical and mystical in this game, i made a test map just as a demo of what i am thinking of.
You can download it and comment what you like/dislike. Some scripts and systems are also implemented in the demo map. Enjoy!

Edit: Of course the map is just a preliminary version for the terrain look.

xD i know pretty less of jass exept removing leaks and ordering units to do (issued order)... but i am quite good with GUI and i like to make the real hard stuff like big custom game systems.

Would be nice to work together with a pro jassman

1. Name sounds good =)

2. Yea thats a good system but I DONT want it so you start as example: summoner and you gain extra ability every time you lvl up. I then instead want you to be able to lvl it up your self and ina way custommizing your hero. but i figure that is what you meant.

3. regeneration i thought in similar ways i even thought that you if you sleeep, or rest you regain faster.

4. About the mana steal attack im not to joyful i must say i dont like it.

OKey this is my picture in the my mind of the game:

Everyone starts as a human with same abilities in the beginning at a school of wizardry, where you train and gain knowledge . (some things you read/ find out here might help later in the game to gain certain spells or treasures.). At the end of the introduction phase every player join together in teams of 3. you can choose but if you dont you will be assigned a team.

now the map is really HUGE each team is sent to a starting quest at diffrent locations far from eachother. where you go from then is up to your team you may cross paths with the other teams soon or late dependent on which course of action you take.

So true i want really many spells for this since I heard a guy say something about it's so booring to have the normal 4-6 spells. I agree i want you to be able to custommize the heroes spells andto be able to have alot, Think 11x11 is enoungh:p. thats the maximum you can have using your system and not complicating it to much.

about the attributes, i mean all spells are divided into different types:
for example blizzard is: A summoning spell (because you summon ice from the sky), its an ice elemental spell (obvious) and an AoE spell. (can also damage yourself)
the attributes i thought of (summoning/necromancy/witchcraft) increase the effects of your spells BUT they dont effect which spells you learn. For example:
Increase armor spell does increase your armor by (2+(0.15*Witchcraft)) or fireball damages enemys by (50+(0.23*Summoning)*Random(0.9 till 1.1))

yea i know what i was meaning jsut to make it clear what i dont wanted :p. I would have liked it most if you could have several and you could devide it into fire water wind earth or something :p. well its good.

OKey i saw you map i really like it, it really gives the nice fantasy style feeling. Well just a request in the actual map I would like Islands you can go to by paying, and also diffrent climates like at someplace Mountains with ice where dwarfs and other creatures dwells. And a deasert place and like that.

I have to compliment you about the terrain I dont know how you do it but it looks great.

for the terraining, i would like if you could either post or pm me the details about the map you want as soon as possible so i can start to imagine how i ll do it. ^^

i think it ll take a long time, RPG maps are much work for terrainers

    Crazy how much 3d printing has come in the last few years. Sad that it's not as easily modifiable though

    I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work

    Luckily I have a 3d printer for that, I guess. But it's ridiculous. The regular volcanos are 21mm, these Sovol versions are about 23.5mm

    So, 2.5mm longer. But the thing that measures the bed is about 1.5mm above the nozzle, so if I swap it with a volcano then I'm 1mm behind it. So cool, new bracket to swap that, but THEN the fan shroud to direct air at the part is ALSO going to be .5mm to low, and so I need to redo that, but by doing that it is a little bit off where it should be blowing and it's throwing it at the heating block instead of the part, and fuck man

    I didn't realize they designed this entire thing to NOT be modded. I would have just got a fucking Bambu if I knew that, the whole point was I could fuck with this. And no one else makes shit for Sovol so I have to go through them, and they have... interesting pricing models. So I have a new extruder altogether that I'm taking apart and going to just design a whole new one to use my nozzles. Dumb design.

    Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart

    Partsbuilt has individual parts I found but they're expensive. I think I can get bits swapped around and make this work with generic shit though
