very nice. i ll start tomorrow, a 480x480 demo map. you can import it afterwards using we unlimited (or other programms)

Please no1 use WEU it bugs lots of maps use NewGen instead same features ( Mostly ) and less buggy

Ill be waiting for it, meantime maybe we should start thinking on some useful systems that can be implented. I can start working on some, allthough i dont know what systems that could be fun:p.

I've seen a map with customizable spells, was pretty sweet. You could change it's model, color, even if it's aoe or not. Was a cool map.

you mean a map that was made to create spells, with the base of abilities? it could be useful for making spells fast. But i would like the damage to be intellegence based.

how about a zeppelin travel system? 2 zeppelins are travelling from 1 town to another and the players can enter and leave the zeppelins each time they reach a town. well in my opinion it would be very funny, and not even hard to trigger.

and how about a veld where lightning bolts are coming randomly from the air damaging every unit in the effected area. (creeps and/or players)

veld? you mean changing weather and sometimes when it rains lightning can scourse the sky and damage unit or what you mean with veld?

The zeppelin is a good system. Could also have a boat fary that moves between lands. like one from a harbour town.

I was thinking of a summoning system that you had to gain respect for the creature you are gonna summon like only after you finnished 3-4 quest and beat one of these in a trial battle or something like that they will give you the ability to summon them. and in order to get greater a stronger summon like instead of an Ogre named "" you get an ogre named "" and is stronger. You must do more quests or more hard ones. and maybe a lvl req and summoning req in order for you to be allowed the quest. and creatures differ from hardness to gain respect and summon. Like dragon is like the most hard to gain the respect for and highest req while ogres are much easier.

Then i had something like this in mind that there is a small chance that the spell wont fire and the more you use an abilty the less chance it will be to be cancelled. Like you have to master it in order to use it so the great spells unless you have mastered them you cant be sure that you will succed with it.

Some thoughts :p

Some thoughts :p

first of all a veld is a plain land with some grass and nothing more. no trees, hills, rivers etc. and we make one region on the map where is a big plain lowland with an endless storm where lightnings come down and damage everyone...

as for the monsters, how about this?
If you kill a monster, for example an ogre, you get a chance to get an egg of them. you can use this egg to breed the monster you have killed. at start the monster is very weak but it can level up like you, learn new skills and become stronger and stronger. because you are only a mage you can use these monsters as tanks, but you can only summon one of them at any time. when you change your monster, it will either unlearn everything or become weaker and weaker over time until you use it again. How about this?

and i like your idea of the spells. like every time you cast it your spell gains some exp and when it reaches a special amount it get leveled up. really nice idea.

Sorry for double posting but:

The Academy is finished ^^

ok here's the academys story. (may include some grammar mistakes)
Academy History:
1000 years in the past a big city were located here. The elders of once were powerful and mighty wizards but the aeons of peace made them decadent and brainless. They summoned a mighty demon lord to absorb his power. One faithful day, the demon lord, due to a mistake of one of the wizards, was able to free himself from their magic. In his anger and hatred against the people of Andrya he destroyed the whole town and cursed all townsmen with a deadly spell.
now the town is still destroyed and ruined. But the wizards of the new 'academy of wisdom' builded their fortress of magic right above the ruins of the old city. The academy shows the overwhelming power of the elite magicans of Andrya.


if you wanna see how it looks like i upload the current map, i added floating texts to name all areas and there duties.

Edit: if you dislike something i ll change it and PM your the new version.

Okey Like a pet system, Interesting idea. Yea I think you should be able to gain some advantages if you use a spell often (seems mroe "realistic").

OKey what about a Food system? like your mana goes slowly down instead of up unless you eat (except outside of combat).

The academy is great =). and the story is nice.

the dropping mana is a good idea. sounds challenging, but it should drop very slowly, like 0.05 per second.

Don't use WEU. It's outdated and may corrupt your map. Use JASS NewGen pack instead.

i am using newgen, and yes it does remove the limits, but still i think 30000 doodads could cause some laggs...

I heard somewhere that you can somehow trick the Cache into not even storing the doodads, and having them use no space at all, but sounds kinda fishy to me. >.>

    Crazy how much 3d printing has come in the last few years. Sad that it's not as easily modifiable though

    I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work

    Luckily I have a 3d printer for that, I guess. But it's ridiculous. The regular volcanos are 21mm, these Sovol versions are about 23.5mm

    So, 2.5mm longer. But the thing that measures the bed is about 1.5mm above the nozzle, so if I swap it with a volcano then I'm 1mm behind it. So cool, new bracket to swap that, but THEN the fan shroud to direct air at the part is ALSO going to be .5mm to low, and so I need to redo that, but by doing that it is a little bit off where it should be blowing and it's throwing it at the heating block instead of the part, and fuck man

    I didn't realize they designed this entire thing to NOT be modded. I would have just got a fucking Bambu if I knew that, the whole point was I could fuck with this. And no one else makes shit for Sovol so I have to go through them, and they have... interesting pricing models. So I have a new extruder altogether that I'm taking apart and going to just design a whole new one to use my nozzles. Dumb design.

    Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart

    Partsbuilt has individual parts I found but they're expensive. I think I can get bits swapped around and make this work with generic shit though
