How to make a spell who up damage of the caster by "X" for only one attack?

How to make a spell who up damage of the caster by "X" for only one attack?

Make the spell give a buff or some sort like roar and when the unit attack check if the unit has buff and increase the damage if the unit has the specified buff then remove the buff
