Well, my guess would be The Emerald Dream, we are nowhere near Arthas at the moment in the Lore on WoW...What do you all think?

I think WoW wasn't really made to follow the lore, they are just mixing the whole thing up but the emrald dream sounds a bit... empty..... to be the next expansion, i think maybe that huge island above the 2 continents might become explorable....

I heard rumors about sea mounts, being able to go under water. Just the way we can fly right now, but swimming instead, with massive movement speed bonus

That would make druids a little less special. Sea lion would become obsolete. :D

I read a rumour on wowwiki that the next expansion could be 'The Great Sea' which would include the islands between the 2 continents on Azeroth.

Considering that the .mpq now holds several files called ex2/doodad/daggercap/farm1.wmo etc i'dd say that the next expansion is going to be northrend.

Yeah, agree with Ase, I seriously think the next expansion will be Northrend, Also, a GM on the wow forums also said that you have to be somewhere around 80 to defeat Arthas.

Theres no way Northrend is next, Arthas is way above Illidan, and thats where we are at right now. Also remember, its THE LICH KING too, and Blizzard already said that Arthas is too high for us.

And havent any of you guys seen The Emerald Dream on WoW?

Demons are attacking the emerald dream and you get transported there and help the druids.
Horde and Alliance.
Maybe ED would be a BG =/

The Frozen Waste Land know as Northern
It holds where the top of the world is (which in WC all life energy is(or something like that)) And also the home of the Frozen Throne

Hmm Seems like that could be a place for WoW but I don't play WoW so idk

WoW doesn't follow the lore... It's just built around it, not a part of it, in my opinion.
I mean, how the hell can you defeat the "big bad guys" over and over again? Instances and all can't be integrated into the lore. However an Icecrown raid wouldn't surprise me, since most wow players care nothing about Warcraft in general, they just go "down" <Insert major Warcraft character here> for fun.
Just my five cents, I think it sucks, but that's the way it is.

I agree somewhat with the last post... I think WoW is based off of the lore... and everything that happens in WoW's instances are just that... "instances". They are possibilities. Just because we kill illidan in a 25 man raid, doesn't mean hes dead according to the lore. The lore is released and update with the novels blizzard is continuing to release.

As for second expansion... I'm guessing Notherend or the South Seas. If they release notherend next... Icecrown will probably remain closed for a long period of time, maybe even till the expansion after that.

An "ocean" expansion would be cool I think, even though I'd probably never get to try it... Lack of cash you know :p

In wc3 heroes die quite often too. I remember ganking Illidan about 15 times in the last TFT mission.

Now this time we are footies that kill them over and over.

I think the next expansion will be Northrend. But I think there are limits to it. First off, im not 100% sure about this but I remembered that Arthas was not in Icecrown at the end of WC lore so far. He was somewhere in Plaguelands talking over the world. (Accualy now I doubt what I just said... :p ). Anyway, if northrend comes out and Arthas is soon a defeatable boss then I honestly don't think its that far out of reach bieng that we have killed Illidan already. Illidan wasn't a pushover... and Arthas is way stronger, but once there are 20+ lvl 80s attacking him... well, he may die. And I have read a section of a Blizzard article asking about Arthas in WoW. The response was that they will put him in an upcoming expansion (no specified order or date) and they were debating whether he would be defeatable. They said he may "flee" at low health and leave behind a chest for players to return later somewhere else where he may be killable. If they do release Northrend I dont think Arthas will be defeatable becuase the article said that if they were to release him now, not even ## (something like 30 or 40) level 70s couldn't defeat him.

So, I think the next expansion will be Northrend and include Arthas as a fightable boss but not killable. I think its like they said they might do, I think he will "flee" and leave something behind like a chest.

I've seen the maps and stuff and they didn't seem fake, so I'm quite sure that the next expansion is Northrend, and according to the stuff that I've read, the max level won't be increased and Arthas will most likely be one of the raid bosses. Guess blizzard kinda forgot about anything concerning lore in WoW, first they kill off Illidan, Arthas is next, they're just raping the warcraft series:(
