What's a good antivirus that won't try to delete newgen?

Any antivirus that I know of can add exceptions. There are some that are better than others though. Norton is on the bottom of that list.

i've been using Avast for quite sometime, free edition, i can say im quite satisfied with it

I'd recommend Nod32 or Kaspersky.

Kaspersky can slow down the pc and you have to renew its license every month (if its hacked ), avast is the best option

I agree, I really like avast. It is free, and just as good or better than most other anti-viruses.
