Has anyone ever been to tropical places?

I live in Florida.
So I technically I live in a Tropical Place if were allowing that.

< 5 miles from many popular beaches in my area. But its spring break for Northerners.
So going anywhere is asking for it. -.-" (Them Northerners stealing our sunshine from us swamp people.)

I have rarely left Florida. Vacation-wise I just go to another part of Florida. Preferably the Atlantic. More waves there. Also I get to see the Sun rise out of the water instead of it sinking into it in the evening.

I envy you... We have mountains and rivers, but no "Sun rising from the ocean, and sinking down below".
