MADEIRA BEACH, Fla. - Sean Riley was furious when he saw a yellow labrador retriever bite his granddaughter's face Monday morning.

According to Riley, he and 4-year-old Shayna stopped to talk to the dog's owners outside a Madeira Beach McDonald's when "Sampson" snapped, unprovoked.

"He took her lip from here to here, almost to the nostril, off. We had to put it in a bag of ice," Riley said. "The dog sat down, went "smack smack," spit the meat out."

So, Riley stabbed the dog in the neck.

I am a huge dog lover, however there are important things that dog owners should know when they own a dog as well as the parents of children that want to pet a unknown dog. Never approach a dog that you do not know, especially that close. The owner and the Grandparent should have told the child not to get in the dogs face. I would not have let my child get that close to a unknown dog.

It clearly states that they knew the people and the dog, and had played and talked with each other before. This was not an unknown dog. This is a case of animal instinct dominating its domestic breeding. You can't keep your kids away from all the animals, can you?
 
A very sad story But
According to reports, Shayna Lydick, 4, was with her grandparents in the outdoor seating area of the McDonald's on 150th Avenue in Madeira Beach at 8:51 a.m. when she approached the dog, who was with its owners at the time.

It's not the dog, It's the Dumb Grandfather for letting the 4yr old out of his sight!

    Yeah Tom, me too sorry for your loss buddy my mom told me she finds out her olds friend died from Google searching them. She had not talked to one of her old friends in a year and found out she died from Google. Also another one in the same session. RIP all of them my sincere condolences Tom

    We have some elderly guests that regularly come hang out at the bar at the end of the night, and every once in a while we don't see someone for a few weeks and then someone shows up with their obituary.

    We usually let them do their memorials there in the morning if they want to and I'll make them some snacks and drinks. There was one guy named Tom that came in like every night and would sit by himself and get a bunch of soup and a glass of wine. idk why but he LOVED our fucking soup, like he would order a fucking quart of it at a time and would always get so sad when we stop doing it for the summer.

    He was just such a sweet old man, we had two servers pregnant and they held a baby shower together, he was soooooo fucking excited to get to see a baby. Unfortunately he died a month or so before they were born

    So I decided to Google some people that I had not seen or heard from in a while and sure enough one of my old best friends, we had a falling out years ago but whatever, find out he died of Pancreatic Cancer in January. I have also lost a few of my closer acquaintances from growing up the last year. Getting old - people die - I kinda thought it was going to be this way a few years ago....
