Help with 2 abilities

i am working on a starcraft themed map and i have a firebat character who gets his splash attack from the Item Fire Orb ability(relevant info for ability 1). i have 2 abilities i want to make for him and need some help figuring out how to make them. im not looking for any one to make triggers for me :p i want o make them myself.

Immolate - All foes hit by the firebats attack(including those hit by the splash) take fire damage every second. This effect stacks up to 5 times and lasts 15 seconds.

Napalm - Firebat sprays area with napalm. area burns for 60 seconds. all foes who are in area take fire damage every second.

Napalm - A basic Flame Strike with modded art....

Immolate - A modded evenomed weapon skill I guess...

any idea how to mod flame strike? i have been playing with the data fields forever and i just don't understand what they do?

i dont think that will work with splash damage.

it wont, envenomed spears is an orb.
you could make it that when the unit is hit give the attacked unit immolation, make mana cost 0, hide the icon somehow, make it affect himself and no1 else, and if u rly want u can use the model of pandas breath when a unit is drunk to make it look like he is on fire

i know that. i mean the data fields. how do i edit them to remove the initial damage. lengthen the burning patch duration, and the burning patch damage?

2: Then trigger it I guess...

How do i detect what units are being hit by my firebat and his splash. wont the attacked unit event only detect the primary target?

ok i finally got Flame Strike working right for the napalm ability, but i am still lost as what to do for the immolate ability. using Permanent Immolation and set it to self only is a good start, but i still cant figure out how to apply to units hit by the firebats AOE attack.
