      • Game - Display to (All players) the text: The host has kicked...

What's wrong ?

This is my kick trigger, and I think that you don't need condition:
Trigger:
  • Kick Teal
    • Events
      • Player - Player 1 (Red) types a chat message containing -Kick Teal as An exact match
    • Conditions
    • Actions
      • Unit Group - Pick every unit in (Units in (Playable map area) owned by Player 3 (Teal)) and do (Unit - Remove (Picked unit) from the game)
      • Game - Display to (All players) the text: Teal has been kicke...
      • Game - Defeat Player 3 (Teal) with the message: You have been kicke...

nvm found it , testing now.

It is under Actions > Unit Group > Pick every...
Which mean, Unit Group is further down than "Unit", scroll further...

But...
Code:
Untitled Trigger 003
    Events
Player - Player 1 (Red) types a chat message containing -kick as A substring
    Conditions
    Actions
Set i = (Integer((Substring((Entered chat string), 6, (Length of (Entered chat string))))))
Game - Display to (All players) for 3.00 seconds the text: (String(i))
If (All Conditions are True) then do (Then Actions) else do (Else Actions)
            If - Conditions
                i Greater than 0
                i Less than 13
            Then - Actions
Game - Defeat (Player(i)) with the message: Defeat!
Game - Display to (All players) for 3.00 seconds the text: (KICKED player + (String(i)))
            Else - Actions
Something like that instead? Works for all players... One trigger to kick them all. Of course you can modify this one to display the name of the kicked player too... Like this, a new trigger to store the name of each player in a string array:
Code:
Untitled Trigger 004
    Events
        Map initialization
    Conditions
    Actions
For each (Integer A) from 1 to 12, do (Actions)
            Loop - Actions
                Set string[(Integer A)] = (Name of (Player((Integer A))))

Then modify/change the line Display Text line in the first trigger to:
Code:
Game - Display to (All players) for 3.00 seconds the text: (KICKED + string[i])

hm... do you have -kick teal right? not a space after or before? Because my kick trigger is working, sorry if isn't helped you... I don't now what the problem is witch your trigger...

Try this.

Trigger:
  • Kick System
    • Events
      • Player - Player 1 (Red) types a chat message containing -kick as A substring
    • Conditions
      • (Entered chat string) Not equal to -kick 1
    • Actions
      • Game - Defeat (Player((Integer((Substring((Entered chat string), 7, 8)))))) with the message: Defeat!

Actually if you want to do a faster kick sytem you can you use this:

Trigger:
  • kick
    • Events
      • Player - Player 1 (red) types a chat message containing < > as a substring
    • Conditions
    • Actions
      • If (All Conditions are True) then do (Then Actions) else do (Else Actions)
        • If - Conditions
          • (Entered chat string) Equal to -kick blue
        • Then - Actions
          • Game - Defeat Player 2 (Blue) with the message: You lost!
          • Game - Display to (All players) the text: Blue has been kicke...
        • Else - Actions
          • Do nothing

This should work perfrectly and it takes only one trigger.

Yunusowic's works the best. It indexes the players, and kicks the one entered, which is the most efficient way to do it.

Try this.

Trigger:
  • Kick System
    • Events
      • Player - Player 1 (Red) types a chat message containing -kick as A substring
    • Conditions
      • (Entered chat string) Not equal to -kick 1
    • Actions
      • Game - Defeat (Player((Integer((Substring((Entered chat string), 7, 8)))))) with the message: Defeat!
yeah but with this i have to do -kick 1 -kick 2..not -kick blue , -kick red..don't I ?

PS. i'm using the kick sistem for a KODO tipe map..can that be the problem ?

Try this.

Trigger:
  • Kick System
    • Events
      • Player - Player 1 (Red) types a chat message containing -kick as A substring
    • Conditions
      • (Entered chat string) Not equal to -kick 1
    • Actions
      • Game - Defeat (Player((Integer((Substring((Entered chat string), 7, 8)))))) with the message: Defeat!
it's the same thing..only that's in a string..

I don't think you can identify a player by his/her color, because his/her color can be changed. So in some way, you'll still have to use player number, but you can make it so you can enter their color.

News portal has been retired. Main page of site goes to Headline News forum now
  • The Helper The Helper:
I am working on getting access to the old news portal under a different URL for those that would rather use that for news before we get a different news view.
  • Ghan Ghan:
    Easily done
    +1
  • The Helper The Helper:
https://www.thehelper.net/pages/news/ is a link to the old news portal - i will integrate it into the interface somewhere when i figure it out
  • Ghan Ghan:
    Need to try something
  • Ghan Ghan:
    Hopefully this won't cause problems.
  • Ghan Ghan:
    Hmm
  • Ghan Ghan:
I have converted the Headline News forum to an Article type forum. It will now show the top 20 threads with more detail of each thread.
  • Ghan Ghan:
    See how we like that.
  • The Helper The Helper:
I do not see a way to go past the 1st page of posts on the forum though
  • The Helper The Helper:
It is OK though for the main page to open up on the forum in the view it was before. As long as the portal has its own URL so it can be viewed that way I do want to try it as a regular forum view for a while
  • Ghan Ghan:
Yeah I'm not sure what the deal is with the pagination.
  • Ghan Ghan:
It SHOULD be there so I think it might just be an artifact of having an older style.
  • Ghan Ghan:
I switched it to a "Standard" article forum. This will show the thread list like normal, but the threads themselves will have the first post set up above the rest of the "comments"
  • The Helper The Helper:
I don't really get that article forum but I think it is because I have never really seen it used on a multi post thread
  • Ghan Ghan:
RpNation makes more use of it right now as an example: https://www.rpnation.com/news/
